WINTER 2014:

The Hassinger Team came on strong in Venice, FL after taking a break from the QH circuit to show their hunters. Then on to Jacksonville and finally to Gulfport, MI working and showing all the way. Dr. Hassinger showed Sandro in the PreGreen Division, Dylan took ribbons on Dean, and Amy was Reserve Champion in the Amateur Owners on her Cartiano. Click on the thumbnail images below to see the latest photos from life on the road.

Cartiano enjoyed showing off his superior cuteness in Florida this November with some stellar rounds and a very impressive Handy Hunter score. He makes Amy proud every time out and knows it!

Congratulations to Dr. Hassinger and Sandro, winners of the Cupid Classic, Aiken, SC. The show was one of a series sponsored by the USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Program. The goal of the program is to offer an incentive based series of event for horses in the pre-green division. The hope here is that it will give the less experienced horses a more interesting competition venue that will encourage owners and trainers to move horses up more slowly.

The inaugural USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Program Championship will be held in conjunction with the USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship in August of 2013 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY.

Any horse enrolled in the program that has competed in a minimum of two USHJA Pre-Green Stake classes between December 1, 2012, and July 31, 2013, is eligible for the championship.

APRIL 2012:

Amy submitted a photo of Caroline, her JR Terrier, giving Cartiano, her show hunter, a good morning kiss to the USEF Photo Contest 'Critter Companions' and won third place! She wins a $20 ShopUSEF gift Certificate. Look for the photos on page 17 of your July/August Issue of EQUESTRIAN.

CONGRATULATIONS to Stacey Schaefer and her daughter, Madeleine, of Shadow Ridge Farm on the purchase "Sweet Dreams". They are already on their way to success!

Hassinger Farm delved into a new corner of the industry by acquiring a pin hook colt by Tapizar out of Cat on the Town. The colt was young and undeveloped and the goal was to prepare him for the fall sales with the use of the farm's unique equipment and therapies.

Lots of news this month! Amy and Cartiano won the Hopeful Hunter Championship at the December Classic I - USEF H/J "A" Show at the Carolina Horse Park, December 6-8. According to Amy, Cartiano loves to horse show and she loves showing him so you will definitely hear more of their continued success in the months ahead. Dr. Jim Hassinger was in the ribbons in the Pre-Green Division on his lovely new Bavarian-registered hunter stallion, "Sir Sandro" (Sandro Boy x Pilot). He will continue to show Pre-Green in 2013 and frozen semen will be available for the 2013 breeding season.

Congratulations to Ginny Whitaker of Indiana on her purchase of our 18mo Oldenburg filly "Romantika" by our late stallion RAKUS. Special thanks to our friend Ruth Sarkunas, agent.

It's foaling season at Hassinger Farm! Three new babies arrived this spring and they could not be any more adorable! Keep an eye out for these beauties as they go into training and are offered for sale.

MARCH 2013:

After a busy ten days in Tampa at the Florida Gold & Gulf Coast Winter Circuit, the Hassinger Farm and Equine Clinic headed east to show in the Hunters in Jacksonville at the Winter Series, 3 different shows held throughout the month. Amy and Cartiano were Reserve Champions in the Hopeful Hunters at Jacksonville National (week 1) and Low Adult Hunter Champions, Jacksonville Winter A to Z (week2). They finished up with Cartiano as Circuit Champion at the Jacksonville Winter Series. Dr. Hassinger and Sir Sandro were very competitive in the Pre-Green Division, taking good ribbons in the face of tough competition, both weeks. Most recently, Sir Sandro was USHJA Pre-Green Stakes Champion in Aiken. Dean also showed well in Florida and took good ribbons over fences the first week.
